A nice bronze of a polo player on his horse with mallet in the air by American sculptor Liza Todd-Tivey (1957-). Todd-Tivey was born in New York City, and went on to become well known for her equestrian sculptures, including most notably private commissions of Northern Dancer filly, Seattle Slew, John Henry, and Secretariat. This bronze with nice deep brown patina is mounted to a felted wooden base, unsigned, with minor damage to the mallet and light staining on the wood base. Dimensions: Bronze: 15 ½” h x 16” w x 7” d.; Overall 18” h x 16” w x 8 ¾” d.
