This round woodcut print was done by American artist Leonard Baskin (1922-2000). Baskin was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and studied sculpture in New York under Maurice Glickman, later becoming a professor of sculpture at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. He became well known for his sculpture work, painting, illustration, writing, and printmaking. Woodcut print on paper, pencil titled and signed lower center “Children Still Life, Artist’s Proof, Leonard Baskin,” matted and framed under glass in simple black wooden frame. This woodcut was given to the consigner as a gift by the artist. Dimensions: 12 ¾” in diameter, actual; 20” h x 19 ½” w, framed.
