19th c English Mason’s ironstone assembled dinner service with polychrome decoration of Chinoiserie designs. Many pieces marked with George L. Ashworth & Bros. mark, and a few marked Richard Briggs, Boston. The service includes: 24 8 ¾” plates, 21 7 3/4" plates,18 10 ¼” plates,15 5" dishes,13 saucers, 9 cups, 12 soup bowls, 8 butter pats, 8 footed cups, 7 platters from 10" to 17 1/4", 2 covered sauce tureens with underplates & spoons, 2 covered bowls 11.25" in diameter, 2 covered bowls 10” diameter,2 compotes, 2 sauce boats with underplates,1 covered soup tureen with underplate, 1 meat platter, length 19". 161 pieces total. Excellent overall condition, with only a few minor imperfections, repairs, and expected wear and edge losses from age and use.
