This nicely framed letter from 1944 was to congratulate W.J. Cameron of East Concord, New Hampshire for assistance in the apprehension of Friedrich Phillip Nauheimer, an escaped WWII German POW, near Stark, New Hampshire, signed by FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. The letter is presented double matted with its corresponding envelope in shadowbox form, with a gold matte background, framed in a simple wooden frame. The framed piece is in excellent overall condition, with minimal imperfections and wear. Dimensions: Letter: 9” h x 7” w; Envelope: 4 ¾” h x 7 ½” w; Overall 13 ¾” h x 20 ¾” w, framed. A great piece of FBI and WWII memorabilia.
