A large carved wooden polychrome paint decorated carousel prancer horse, probably used on a carousel center or bench end, with restoration to the head and legs. Probably early 20th century, recovered from a MA office building in the 1970’s. Professionally restored by Art Ritchie and attributed to the workshop of premier German carousel pony carver Frederick Heyn (1870-1929). Very good overall condition, with professional restoration, and minor imperfections and expected wear from age and use. Restoration primarily to the head and legs. Dimensions: 52" h x 60" w x 6" d.
