This nicely done airbrushed watercolor of a rolling country pastoral scene with horses was painted by American artist Benjamin R. Harris (1904-1957) and his wife Georgette. “Ben Jorj Harris” is actually the nom de brosse of the combined talents of Benjamin R. Harris and his wife, Georgette, who joined forces to freelance after both had worked for various design firms. Harris was born in Albany, Georgia, and was a noted American artist, active in New York and well known for his airbrushed Art Deco watercolors he painted for Newman Decor, a high end interior design firm in NY, as well as his illustrations and cartoons. Watercolor on board, signed lower right, with some edge losses, and housed under plexiglas in a decorative wooden frame. Dimensions: 25” h x 36” w, actual; 31” h x 41” w, framed.
