A nicely done pastel of the famous Anichkov Bridge on the Fontanka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, by Russian artist Serguei Oussik (1958-). Born near the capital of what was then the Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan, this artist has lived most of his life in St. Petersburg, Russia, which is the subject of many of his plein air landscape paintings. He is a member of the Russian Union of Artists, the International Federation of Artists, the Pastel Society of France and International Association of Pastel Society. He is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a leader of the St. Petersburg Society. His work has appeared in exhibits all over the world, from Paris to Athens.
