This colorful abstract oil painting was done by American artist Aleta Eastman Cornelius (1923-2002).Cornelius was featured in the March 1950 Life Magazine, as one of 19 up and coming artists under the age of 36, and a copy of this Life magazine is included with the painting. She attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, later moving to Florida, where she had an art studio in St. Augustine, eventually setting in Flagler Beach, FL. Oil on canvas, signed upper left, and housed in a simple painted frame. Dimensions: 22” h x 40” w, actual; 22 ¾” h x 40 ¾” w, framed.
