A wonderful sheet iron weathervane, probably early 20th century, depicting a golfer and caddy under a large tree, in green paint with its original rod and brackets. Purportedly by Kenneth Lynch of Connecticut, fine craftsmen of ironwork and garden ornaments for over 300 years, beginning in Ireland, across the ocean to New York, and eventually moving the business to Connecticut, where it is still in operation today. The weathervane is in good condition, with some paint loss, surface rust, and expected wear from age and use. Great patina overall. The golfer is missing the club head. Dimensions: 33” h x 45” w x 1 ½” d.
