This beautiful seascape oil painting of surf and rocks, probably circa 1950, was done by American artist Roger Curtis (1910-2000). Curtis was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where he became well known for his marine paintings and landscapes, even publishing and illustrating his own book titled “How to Paint Successful Seascapes”. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, and housed in a giltwood frame. Dimensions: 25” h x 30” w, actual; 31” h x 36” w, framed.
