This rare engraving of Cæcilius Calvert shows the man clothed in his regal layered robes. The piece is dated 1657- the year that he regained the Maryland Colony from Oliver Cromwell. The print is in very good condition, with some light toning to the edges, with a slight old crease across the upper left corner , and is hinged to the cardboard beneath on the blank verso. Signed lower right “Blotling, Sculp.,” and housed under glass in a simple black painted wooden frame. A great piece of Maryland history for collectors! Dimensions: 11 ¼” h x 7 ⅛” w, actual; 15 ¾” h x 11 ¾” w, framed.
