This nice oil painting still life was done by American artist Frederick Rhodes Sisson (1893-1962). Sisson was born in Providence, Rhode Island, studied privately under Abbott Thayer, and later taught art at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he originally studied. Still life of a breakfast table including a bowl of eggs, egg cup, coffee cup and saucer, banana, and cream pitcher. Oil on board, signed lower right, with a Sisson estate stamp and inventory number on verso, and housed in a painted wooden frame with gilt highlighted inset frame.
