19th / 20th c Cast Iron Eagle Architectural Element
This wonderful cast iron eagle architectural element dates back to the late 19th or early 20th century, with open wingspan and wonderful presence, its head slightly cocked to the left. Probably used as the top of a fence post or entrance gate. The eagle is in very good condition, with great patina, and it looks to have an old repair to the right wing. Dimensions: 17 ½” h x 47” wingspan x 28” d.
