Birger Sandzen Pencil Signed Landscape Print Titled Whispering Aspens
This beautiful print titled “Whispering Aspens” was originally done by Swedish-American artist Birger Sandzen (1871-1954). Sandzen was born in Bildsberg, Sweden and later moved to America, painting in the Colorado and New Mexico areas, eventually settling in Lindsborg, Kansas (known as “Little Sweden”), becoming well known for his abstract richly colored landscape paintings. This print is pencil titled, dedicated, and signed “Whispering Aspens, With Kindest Regards to Mrs. J. Garnathy, 1936, Birger Sandzen” across the lower margin, matted and framed under glass in a black wooden frame (minor edge rub on frame). Dimensions: 10 ½” h x 14 ¼” w, sight; 19” h x 22 ¼” w, framed.
