This nice watercolor, probably Brewer Fountain in Boston Common, was painted by Polish American artist Taddeus Kladnicki (1904-1982). Kladnicki was born in Cracov, Poland and moved to the United States, living in Reading, MA and studied under John Chetcuti of Rockport, MA. His body of works includes local New England landscapes and street scenes. Watercolor on paper, signed lower right, matted and framed in a simple decorative frame. Verso reveals an unfinished watercolor by Kladnicki under backing paper, with a Wakefield, MA framers label. Dimensions: 14” h x 20” w, sight; 21 ¾” h x 27 ¾” w, framed.
