This English mahogany table or bracket clock with bail handle is circa 1765, with a composite brass dial with recessed 4 ½" maker's boss marked Edward Foster, London.. It has a Roman numeral chapter ring with calendar ring engraved 1-31 around the inside , cast spandrels and alarm dial in arch, pierced brass sound frets backed with fabric, eight-day time and strike fusee movement with alarm. The clock is in good working condition, with some minor surface losses and restorations, consistent with the age and use of the clock. Dimensions: 15" h x 8" w x 5.25" deep.
