This colorful watercolor of a mountainous landscape was painted by artist Henry Webster Rice (1853-1934). Rice was born in Pownal, Maine and lived most of his life in the Boston area, where he became well known for his watercolor landscapes and coastal marine paintings. Watercolor on paper under glass, signed lower center in a newer gold painted frame. Dimensions: 16"h x 22" l, actual; 22 ½" h x 29", framed.
