Wonderful oil painting of still life with fruit, roses, wine glass and a bust by American artist Morston Constantine Ream (1840-1898). Ream was born in Lancaster, Ohio and moved to New York City when he was 28 to study painting. He is best known for his opulent still life paintings of fruit and other comestibles. Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Housed in a beautiful, gold gilded frame. In very good overall condition with some areas of craquelure. Dimensions: 32"h x 26"l actual; 42"h x 36"l framed.
