An exceptional pair of English George I style library arm chairs in walnut, with nicely carved arms, center carved shell drops, and nicely detailed cabriole legs terminating with ball and claw feet on the front and hoof back feet. The pair dates to the 19th century and have been freshly upholstered, in very good overall condition, with great surface patina, minor high point losses, other surface imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Approximately 40.5 in H x 28 in W x 27 in D, with a seat height of 19 inches. Ref: 787
