A spectacular carved walnut sofa with scrolled foliate decorated crest and outswept scrolled arms, appointed with cut velvet upholstery with removable seat cushion, all supported by eight nicely turned legs supported with turned stretchers. The sofa is Italian in origin, dating to the 18th century, in very good overall condition, with some minor moisture stains under the seat cushion, and other minor imperfections, losses, and slight fade commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 42.63 in H x 96.5 in W x 27 in D, with a seat height of 23 inches. Ref: 8
