For your consideration is this wonderful early Mexican sterling silver necklace. The construction as well as the marks make me believe this is pre 1945 and as early as the 1920s. The grape sections are so nicely designed and tooled with such detail in the leaves and even a coiled vine and have nice dimension. The links in the top are nice and long with Art Deco era look. The clasp is the older hook closure. The piece is marked Silver Mexico on one leaf and sterling on another leaf ..another indication of an early piece. The patina is deep, heavy and just beautiful. The necklace measures 16 and 3/4 inches in length. The grape links measure 1 and 1/4 inches across from the end of the coiled vine to the end of the leaf. The necklace is in excellent condition I see no dings or dents in the grapes as your sometimes see on older pieces. This piece was taken care of and loved. Patina is a little uneven - just how it aged.
