For your consideration is this rare and wonderful circa 1920s ring. The highlight of the ring is the wonderfully detailed sphinx that runs from the side of the ring to the back - it's tail runs around the back. Such detail in the face, headdress and body of the sphinx. The face of the ring carries an interesting scroll with symbols and a genuine diamond. The diamond is nice and sparkly and approx. .12 carat. I believe that this was part of the Egyptian Revival craze of the era when Carter discovered the actual tomb of Tutankhamun in November 1922. PLEASE note ****- the ring is marked 14k but has been tested and xray'd and is 10 karat gold not 14 karat . It also has some other symbols on the back as shown.
The ring is a size 7 and 1/2. The face measures just a hair under 3/4 inches top to bottom.
The ring is in excellent vintage condition. Diamond is prettier and brighter in person. Any variation is part of the wonderful artwork. Very flexible layaway is available.
