For your consideration is this very unique Alfredo Villasana sterling silver pin.Alfredo Villasana was a talented silversmith who worked for William Spratling and Hector Aguilar, in Taxco, Mexico, and then went out on his own in the 1950s. This piece bears the eagle assay mark that they started using in 1947 until the late 70s. It depicts an abstract modernistic Aztec bird do in turquoise inlay. The marks are the eagle, Villasana , Taxco, Sterling,925, Mexico.
It measures 1 and 5/16 inches by 1 and 1/4 across the widest points.
It is in fully functioning condition. It has a very small amount of tile loss as shown but not enough to hurt the look.
