For your consideration is this large and extremely rare molded mirrored glass Kenneth Cole sterling silver brooch. I tried to research this beautiful piece and these are hard to come by but I did read that Cole did some high quality pieces in his early career. This piece weighs 54.4 grams and has six white , green or red molded glass mirrored stones that do remind me of the old fashion Christmas lights and with the colors this could have been a Christmas pin. These stones have a little minor play but are held very securely by the prongs. The sterling has a nice patina. The mark is Kenneth Cole copyright symbol New York. Sterling. I purchased this great brooch as well as a set of earring done in this style with different colored glass stones that I will be listing separately.
This is a large pin that measures just over 2 and 7/8 inches across with good dimension as you can see by the side view.
This wonderful piece is in great functioning condition with a few minor things to report. The pin back is fully functional with very minor bending from usage. The stones look very nice but two have minor discoloration behind the stones - one green one white with the white being a little more prominent as certain angles - see last pic. The mirrored backs show discoloration. I do not consider any of this to be a big deal and some is possibly cleanable with the right agent but I list everything that I see.
