Vintage Betty Cooke Modernist Sterling Silver Pin Pendant
For our consideration is this wonderful abstract modernistic pendant/pin by Betty Cooke. The simplistic two circle design has a great look. Signed Cooke Sterling. The pendant/pin has patina and age. It has a loop as well as a pin back.
It is a nice size measuring 2 inches be 1 and 1/2 inch across the widest points. Nice and sturdy at 15.9 grams.
In excellent functioning condition other than a few lights scratches and an uneven patina.
Betty Cooke, born in Maryland, 5 May 1924, still a central component of her craft, produces jewelry with an unmistakable, signature style. Cooke received formal training in metal working from a local jeweler during her time at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Upon graduation with a bachelor in fine arts in 1946 she was hired on by the institute to teach welding to World War II veterans returning home. Betty Cooke is a prolific jewelry artist.
