For your consideration is this stunning Art Deco watch. I took lots of pics so you can appreciate it. I believe it is rhodium plate. It has 4 blue stones in the face. I am not sure if these are genuine sapphires or synthetic but I do know a lot of jewelry of that era did carry synthetic stones. The watch is a Bulova and the inside marked are Bulova Watch Co, ,Fifteen 15 jewels are some over marks, on the inside case Bulova Quality Pat June 10, 1924, 1065961, also hand etched 1275. Also on the back, the initials E A L in fancy script. Notice the wonderful detail in this watch from the face, to the side adornments , to the flower dial. Unlike some watches that are hard to open, this is hinged and opens easily. The stretch band is marked Gemex Made in US and may be original and the geometric design goes well with the watch.
The watch including the end loops measures 1 and 3/8 inches by 5/8 inches not counting the dial. The flexible band measures about 6 inches. I have a 6 and 1/2 inch wrist and it fi me extremely comfortable but will accommodate a larger or smaller wrist.
The watch is up running and keeping time at present and I have checked it twice. I had this watch inspected and cleaned by a watch maker. The original crystal had some scratching so I had him replaced the crystal. The numbers in pen on the inside are an indication of his work -his initials and date. There is a thin line between the B in Bulova and 10 - my pictures are enlarged so it is not a big deal in person.
