For your consideration is this beautiful green stone bracelet screw on earring set. I believe the green stone may be travertine or some type of agate. The carved stones has nice twisted rope overlay in the grooves. . Purchased by a neighbor's mother in the 1940s, this set has a thick and heavy patina and is expertly hand made. All has tested and is guaranteed as sterling silver. The bracelet is marked Aqui or Agui ( I see nothing indicating Aguilar ever used such a mark) Silver Mexico and the earrings Mexico silver. As documented in many books, the pre 1945 Mexican jewelry often did not have sterling marked on the pieces. A bold and attractive set.
The bracelet measures 1 and 1/8 inches across the widest points It measures 7 inches when clasped. The earring faces measure7/8 inches by a hair under 1/2 inches. Total weight is 89.6 grams with the bracelet weighing 78.4 grams,
The excellent condition with a fully functioning hardware and no dings or dents. It has an uneven patina on the back . One of the twisted rope overlay does not lay perfectly flat but this can be seen in the close up and I think it is pretty minor.
