For your consideration is this interesting abstract and modernistic sterling silver pendant. It has good patina and age and I suspect it to be 1950s 1970s. It has a unique eye appealing aesthetic. To me it looks like a bird carrying a crustacean but others have interpreted it differently. I took a side view so that you can see how the artist gave the piece dimension and center design is raised about the base pendant. It has tested and is guaranteed as sterling silver. The chain that I added is sterling and has a worn but readable 925 Italy mark. I purchased this from a gentleman that collects oddities and he wore it with this type of bead chain and I think works well so I used it also. The pendant has what may be a C on the back. I am not sure and this may be tool marks but this is all I see on it. A neat piece and a great conversation starter.
The pendant is a nice size measuring 2 and 1/2 inches by 1 and 1/4 inches across the widest points. The added sterling chain measures 19 and 3/4 inches when clasped.
Condition on all is excellent.
