Dating to c.1800-1810, I originally acquired this magnificent French bracelet in England for my on collection, but I find I rarely wear it, so it is time to present it for the consideration of my Ruby Lane clientele!

Measuring 6" wearable length x 3/4" x 1/2" for the plaques, this is easily the most wearable and fabulously-preserved Georgian-era jewel to have come my way in a long time! This superb jewel is comprised of ten individual plaques, each enameled in robin's egg blue to imitate Persian turquoise, and each framed by a halo of tiny, hand-cut marcasites for a natural, hard glitter that puts even the finest cut steel in the dark!

Each of the plaques measure 3/4" x 1/2", and all are present and original to the bracelet. Each link it joined to the next by tiny but sturdy silver hinges, and the links are closed at the back. Best of all, this bracelet has made it through over 200 years in near-pristine, all-original condition; the enamel is 100% intact, and the marcasites are also all present! The bracelet boasts a hand-cut, box-style clasp, which locks with a satisfying "click!" The clasp is marked with two indistinct hallmarks; one is likely the hare's head, and the other is a maker's mark.) It has been lovingly cared for over the generations; the only element missing is the original safety chain, which could easily be restored for little cost if the new owner so desires.

Simply a breath-taking example of French antique jewelry, this bracelet looks stunning on the wrist; the combination of Persian turquoise enamel, hand-faceted marcasites, and overall quality bespeak to a jewel of the finest French workmanship. Of course, one needs a rather petite wrist to wear this stunner; my wrist measures 6 1/2," and sadly, is a bit too small for me. However, it will be a treasure for a lady with a petite wrist, and looks just as beautiful on the arm today as when it was first worn by a lady of fashion in Napoleonic France! This is a substantial jewel, weighing in at 29.98 grams, and is suitable for wear with anything from blue jeans, to a business suit, to that special little black dress! JUST SPECTACULAR!

If you collect the ULTIMATE in French-made antique or Georgian-era jewelry, this investment-worthy French beauty belongs on your wrist and in your collection! It would also make a thrilling gift for any lady fond of the finest in early jewelry, and will be shipped in a gift box. Do not miss this one-of-a-kind rarity; let my loss be your gain! Up to 60-day layaway is available, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
