Dating to c.1810-1820, these enchanting Regency-era earrings are a highly-wearable pair of historic jewels!
Measuring 5/8" in diameter, these rare earrings boast turquoise paste cabochons measuring 8 mm in diameter. These pastes are collet-set in beautifully-edged, open-backed collets of 18k yellow gold (unmarked but tested). The frame to these beauties are simply majestic; they boast tiny spun gold and cannetille rosettes, filigree, and applied bead work all around!
As is typical with Georgian-era earrings, the original, hand-cut gold wires are of the "back to front" variety. Best of all, these pretty earrings have survived two centuries in fresh-as-a-daisy condition, with no damage, repairs, or visible wear! The style of these jewels have transcended the whims of fashion, and they look just as beautiful on a 21st-century lady as they did when they were first worn by a lady of fashion c.1815! JUST SUPERB!
Weighing in at 3.64 grams for the pair, these jewels will compliment any outfit, from blue jeans to that little black cocktail dress, and what a history! If you love the best in fine antique jewelry, these earrings will make a treasured addition to your collection! They would also make a stellar gift for any lady fond of historic jewelry, and will be shipped in a gift box. Do not miss these robin's egg blue and gold stunners; up to 30-day layaway is available, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
