Ring-a-ding-ding; it's time for Spring, and I am celebrating by offering some wonderful rings for the consideration of my Ruby Lane clientele!
Dating to c.1800-1810, this beautiful Regency-era ring is suitable for wear by a lady, or as a dashing pinky ring for a gentleman! This yellow- and rose-gold jewel boasts a diamond-shaped bezel set with a bright, white rose-cut diamond set in a silver collet set against a golden panel engraved with rays, and a halo of silvery seed pearls all around!
Measuring 3/4" x 5/8" across the curved bezel, the rose-cut diamond is set center-stage, and although small (approx. 3 points), it really winks and sparkles in any level of light! The 16 natural seed pearls are all set in closed-backed, rubbed-over collets of 15k rose gold (unmarked but tested). As with many rings of this decade, this example boasts forked shoulders tapering back to a triple shank; the construction is nothing short of superb! This ring was likely originally made for a gentleman of wealth and fashion during the Regency era, but today, it is suitable for wear by a 21st-century lady or gentleman!
This ring is a size 6, but could be re-sized by laser for little cost if the new owner so desires. It has not been cleaned, and displays a rich "bloom" to the gold which only generations of wear can impart! This ring has terrific presence on the hand, and is a rare survival! SO DASHING!
Weighing in at 4.67 grams, this Georgian-era stunner is a substantial ring, and has made it through 210+ years in an excellent state of preservation. It is in 100% all-original condition, and has never even suffered re-sizing! A couple of the pearls have sunk a bit in the settings, but this is perfectly in keeping with a ring of this great age, and is not noticeable when worn. This ring also boasts two shades of gold; the panel on the bezel is yellow gold, and the shoulders and shank are rose-gold; a winning combination in jewelry of any era!
If you collect the best in Georgian-era jewelry, this ring belongs on your hand and in your collection! The gold feels so silky on the hand, and what a history! It would also make a stellar gift for anyone fond of the finest in Georgian jewelry, and will be shipped in a gift box. Do not miss this Regency beauty; up to 45-day layaway is available, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
