Dating to c.1920-1930, this lovely, near-antique ring boasts a gorgeous, six-sided pink lab sapphire set into a beautiful mounting of 14k gold!
Measuring 10.5 x 10.5 mm across the bezel, this charming ring boasts a vibrant, bright fuchsia lab sapphire weighing approx. 2 1/2 carats. The sapphire is mounted in a rubbed-over, open-backed collet of 14k yellow gold (marked and tested). This stone is a superb shade of fiery pink, and the mounting is second-to-none; the bezel is hand-engraved, and the gallery is pierced and decorated with golden scrolls above and below! This gem flashes pink fire with every movement of the hand, and is oh-so-wearable!
This ring has made it through 90+ years in superb, all-original condition, and looks just as lovely today as when it was originally worn by a fashionable lady in the Roaring '20s! Within a few years, it will officially be an antique, and is truly heirloom worthy! This ring is a petite size 4 3/4, but the plainness of the rear of the shank would allow for easy up-sizing by a good bench jeweler for little coast. The ring weighs 2.84 grams, very substantial for its size!
If you cherish the best in fine estate jewelry, this lively ring belongs on your hand and in your collection! It would also make a wonderful holiday gift for any lady fond of the jewelry of the Jazz Age, and will be shipped in a gift box. Do not miss this beauty; layaway is not available on this item, but it is priced for quick sale, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
