TIMELESS Georgian Topaz Paste/Natural Pearl/9k Ring, c.1810!

Dating to c.1810, this Regency-era ring will always be in style, and has made it into the 21st-century in splendid, all-original, super-wearable condition!

Measuring 19 mm long x 15 mm wide, the bezel of this charming jewel is set with a vibrant orange paste which imitates the look of an Imperial topaz! The paste gem weighs approx. 2 1/2 "carats,"and is set in a foiled, closed-backed mounting of 9k yellow gold (unmarked but tested). Surrounding this stone is a halo of natural seed pearls measuring an average of 2.3 mm. The 18 natural pearls have a lovely, silvery sheen which really sets the paste gem off to its best advantage; all of the pearls are intact, original to the ring, and set in pushed-up collets of 9k gold.

The shoulders of this elegant ring are elegantly forked, tapering back to a very sturdy shank. This classic ring has made it into the 21st-century in as fine a condition as the most discerning collector could hope for; it appears to have rarely been worn, and looks just as lovely today as when it first graced the hand of a Georgian lady of fashion over two centuries ago! This ring is virtually untouched; it has built up a luscious bloom to the gold which only the passing of many generations can produce. As with all of my antique jewelry, this example has not been cleaned; there are a couple of spots of dirt on one or two of the pearls, but this could easily be brushed off with a damp toothbrush. JUST SUBLIME!

This ring is a size 7 1/4, but the plainness of the rear of the shank would allow for easy re-sizing by a good bench jeweler for little cost. This rarity is also oh-so-wearable, and will take you from the office to the theatre in high Regency style! Weighing in at a substantial 5.43 grams, this is a stellar example of fine Georgian paste jewelry, and with careful wear, will last another two centuries! Please note that due to the foil set at he back of the stone, this ring should not be exposed to moisture.
