Dating to c.1890 for the diamond and c.1915 for the ring setting, this beautiful early 20th-century diamond ring comes to you just in time for summer proposals!
This charming jewel boasts an old European cut diamond weighing approx. 30 points! The diamond measures 4 mm x 4.5 mm, and is white and bright - the modern equivalent of a I color and VS1 clarity. It has tons of fire and radiance, and is exactly what an early diamond should be! This diamond is an old European cut, and pre-dates the 14k white gold setting by at least 25 years - perhaps it was used in a late Victorian engagement ring?
The diamond is set in a hexagonal shaped collet which makes the gem appear even larger on the hand. The mounting features beautiful filigree cut work and engraving on the top, bottom and shoulders. The setting of the ring is 14k white gold (marked and tested). This ring is a size 6 3/4, but the plainness at the rear of the shank would allow for easy re-sizing by a good lapidary. It weighs 2.4 grams.
Simply an exquisite, high-quality jewel, this ring will delight any lady who loves of antique diamonds - and do you know any that don't? It would also make a stellar Christmas gift or an affordable engagement ring for that special lady. (Popping the question this year? This ring will ensure a "yes!") Better still, treat yourself this year - you deserve it! This ring will be shipped in a gift box perfect for storing or giving. Do not miss this eloquent ring - it is heirloom-worthy, and priced right!
