Dating to c.1820-1830, this is one beautiful example of a late-Georgian jewel! This bracelet comes straight from my own private collection of fine Georgian jewelry, but I have not worn it in over a year, so up it goes for the consideration of my Ruby Lane clientele!

This lovely jewel boasts a stunning, ornate, cameo-set pinchbeck clasp and six rows of genuine 5 mm Akoya pearls! I acquired this clasp in England in the late 1990s, and hand-selected the pearls to complete it; the result is one classic beauty of a bracelet! The clasp measures 2" wide x 1 5/8" long. It is a wonder of cast cannetille and beadwork, interspersed with tiny engraved flowers! The center features a shell cameo of a Roman nobleman facing left. The cameo is engraved to the finest detail; one can even see the individual strands of his curly hair! The cameo measures 7/8" x 3/4", and is in pristine condition after over 190 years! SO LOVELY!

The body of this jewel measures 1 1/2" wide and 7 1/4" wearable length. The six strands of AAA grade Akoya pearls are hand-knotted on silk, and are lovely shade of creamy white. I would like to think that this bracelet was originally strung with pearls, as they look perfect with the cameo-set clasp! This bracelet is now just as wearable today as when it first graced the wrist of a lady of fashion in the 1820s, and the effect is positively regal! (My photos do not do this bracelet justice; it is MUCH prettier "in hand!")

This wonderful bracelet would make a cherished addition to any collection of antique or pearl jewelry. It weighs 55.8 grams, and feels wonderful on the arm! Every element to this jewel is top quality, and the new owner will be thrilled with it. Needless to say, it would make a stellar holiday gift for any lady fond of Georgian-era or pearl jewelry! Do not miss this sumptuous jewel; up to 30-day layaway is available, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
