Dating to ca. 1700-1720, these enamel, pearl, and high-karat gold earrings are a fantastic and wonderfully-wearable example of pre-Georgian jewelry!

These beautiful little jewels likely started their long life as a pair of ladies' buttons, but an ingenious lapidary has crafted them into the highly-wearable and extra-rare earrings you see here! These breath-taking earrings feature three-dimensional flowers crafted in 22k gold, and are enameled above and below in pink, black, and white. Each earring boasts its original natural center pearl, which is still securely wired into the foundation. The flowers rest on their original 22k gold engraved leafy background (all gold unmarked but tested).

This pair of earrings measure just a hair under 1/2" in diameter, and make absolutely fabulous studs! The posts are 9k gold, and are recent, expertly-added additions. The earrings also have new 9k gold butterfly nuts. Weighing in at 4.2 grams for the pair, these earrings are just as beautiful and fresh today as when they adorned the gown of a lady of great wealth and fashion 300+ years ago! They are truly lovely on the ear, and just the right size for everyday wear!

These earrings are in MINT condition for their great age, with NO losses or repairs to the enamel or the high-karat gold foundations after three centuries of careful wear. When one looks at these earrings, one can see the magnificent craftsmanship of the pre-Georgian lapidary! Enamel such as this was used in jewelry from c.1660 until 1720 or so, and these beauties have been cherished and fabulously preserved over 10 generations!

If you collect the BEST in early jewelry, these jewels belong on your ears and in your collection! I have rarely seen enameled jewels pre-dating the Georgian era in such pristine condition, and with careful wear, they will last another three centuries! They would also make a fabulous holiday gift for any lady fascinated with truly historic jewelry. (Or better yet, treat yourself to these rare blossoms - you deserve it!) Either way, do not miss this superb, investment-quality pair of earrings; up to 60-day layaway is available, and USPS Priority mail shipping is FREE!
