Circa 1880 solid 15k yellow gold collar necklace. It is beautifully finished so you can wear it with either side out. The "front" has link details with diamond shaped plaques with a flower detail. The "back" simply shows the entwined links. This type of necklace is far more typical in silver, but very, very rare in gold. Beautifully constructed, it lays perfectly when being worn. It is the perfect companion to any locket or fob, but is stunning when worn alone.
It measures 18" in length but has a 2" extender that can be worn as a drop (as we have shown) or as an extension into the entire necklace. The necklace measures approximately .5" at its widest. The diamond shaped plaques measure 6.5 mm square. The overall weight is 41.4 grams.
Pictures 7 and 8 offer the best version of the color. For some reason, the photographs washed it out. It ls a lovely warm, yellow gold.
