This is a Vintage original Hermes Silk Scarf, designed by Lise Coutin, and produced in 1961. The title is: "Grand Carrosse Pour un Ambassadour" "Anno MDCC"....the Grand Coach !! and Grand it is...

This Scarf is in Good condition for its age over 50 years...there a few small age blips, but not very noticeable....never laundered and the rolled edge is perfect. There is a very faint Hint of the Parisian Perfume that Madame loved.... Size is 35" square.

The Design is Elegant and the pale beige Color is an excellent background for the large view of the Grand Coach, decorated with Putti and Armor...this would be a good scarf for framing.

I have the Hermes Box for this Scarf, but it is a bit rubbed, 2 corners separated, and pencil writing on one outer edge..it has the warning on the inside of the cover to advise "dry cleaning and remember that silk can be damaged by rain!!"

I am listing quite a few original Hermes Scarves that we just received from a collection...a few very early and rare designs! take a peek at the others!!
