This engraving of a "Medieval Woman in her Finery", was originally done by URS GRAF in 1518, and is titled "Dirne in Halber Figur".
This engraving comes from a CA.1900 German Folio of Art Prints.
It is a very good rendition, and recently custom framed and matted...the image size is 7.5: tall...the frame size is 14" x 17"...in excellent condition.
An interesting depiction of Haute Couture at the end of the "Medieval" Period in Europe!! Quite a lot of Fabrics in interesting contortions! She appears to possibly be Pregnant, holding her tummy...and quite an interesting hat hiding that thinning hair and scalp, caused by too much lead in the drinks!
In July, The Dancing Plague of 1518, became a case of dancing mania in Strasbourg in which many people died from constant dancing for days and weeks...possibly due to that Ergot fungus on the grains!!?? This Lady did not Dance!!
