This is a group of 8 Original French Steel engraved Plates by "Cesar Daly", 1862-1864, entitled: "Architecture Privee - Nouvelle Maisons des Environs de Paris", featuring a High Style French proposal for an outstanding Grand Maison in Paris.
A beautiful group of Architectural designs from the luscious Victorian period, produced for use by builders/developers during the great Architectural Revolution in Paris, spurred by King Napoleon the III (Third)
These large Steel Engravings measure approx. 17.5" x 12.2" and are excellent for framing... the condition of each is very good (there is slight agitation and discoloration around the perimeters of the engravings, but would not be seen when matted and framed. The original Pale Green outer Folders are with the group, but a bit tattered around the edges.
I am listing 6 different groups of these Steel Engravings...The Plates show designs for homes, outbuildings, gardens, fences, gates and walled surrounds. They all were found in an ancient rural Maison, possibly the home of a Victorian Architect!!
