This incredible Antique French "Corona" or Crown, is of a small size, to originally be installed on a smaller Figure of the Virgin Mary. Produced during the 1860's.
The size is approx. 4.5" diameter, and is adjustable from that size...the front of the Crown is approx. 3.75" high, and it is in excellent condition. (The 2 leaves of the top center "star" shape are just bent a bit toward the back) On the side of the adjustable band there is a hallmark of the maker: "E.T."
Made of Gold Gilt or Dore' on Brass, with Clear "Stones" or "Brilliants", with a large central "Trembler" in the shape of a six sided Flower, rococco flourishes, Grape Leaves and 2 slim "Lily of the Valley" leaves in the Brass.
This is the smallest size of a group of Antique Coronas that I will be listing today, from a wonderful collection of Religious Artifacts we discovered on our last trip to the South of France...please view the others, some with clear & colored stones and Tremblers....
