This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Cloisonné Vase, signed on the bottom with the hallmark of "Hayashi Kaname", who worked during the 1950's. The size is approx. 7.25" tall by 4"diameter at the shoulder.
The downward falling branch of heavily laden Cherry Blossoms, Buds and Leaves, is quite detailed, with varying shades of pink and white on the blossoms and buds, and a Brown to Green on the Leaves. On a background of almost a "Khaki" color, with a small band of dark blue just above the bottom rim of silver. All of the details are finely outlined in silver wire, including his signature on the bottom
The Lip and bottom rim are in silver, with one very small divot on the top edge of the Lip (see Photo) and another on one side of the bottom rim (see Photo of bottom)....both are in the soft silver, and not objectionable. The bottom retains its original paper label.
The condition of the Cloisonné is Excellent...a very handsome piece of finely detailed Japanese Cloisonné for your collection.
