We are offering a very attractive hand painted plate that is marked Haviland France. The plate measures 8 5/8 inches across. Around the edge there is a gilded band that shows very little sign of any wear. On the apron of the plate curls an artistically executed floral motif that is all hand painted. No transfers here! The plate is unsigned so we make no attributions. We have been told that the floral motif is a primrose design which was apparently quite popular during the Victorian era. We will let you be the judge. The condition of the plate is terrific with only a couple of extremely small imperfections, mostly missing glaze, that was done during the original firing.
