Sweetpea Cottage is providing you with the opportunity to obtain a completely filled display card of vintage Galalith, or casein, dress clips that are probably from England in 1930. Galalith, literally translates as "milk stone", is the trade name for plastics that were made by treating milk casein with formaldehyde. We have obtained a complete set of dress clips that are still displayed on their original display card. The pins are in a variety of shapes and styles, all banded with simulated plastic white lace. The clips average about 2 1/4 inches long. There are a total of 12 clips on the card and they are in excellent condition although some of them show the minor spotting that comes from aging. The card stands about 7 3/4 inches tall and is about 10 ½ inches wide. The card is covered with black velour and is in excellent condition. You might wish to remove the dress clips and use them, but in our opinion the whole card would be terrific if it was carefully framed in a shadow box frame. This would provide a great decorative statement for your boudoir.
