Pyrography (or wood burning), often referred to as Flemish Art, was a popular decorative style common in the early 1900's. It is often associated with the Arts and Crafts movement because of its simplicity and artistic qualities. We are offering a shallow round candy or nut dish that is decorated using pyrography. It has an oak leaf and acorn design in the bottom of the dish and is textured with pyrography around the inside and outside edges. The oak design is a simple yet striking graphic that has much visual appeal. The overall diameter of the piece is about 5 3/4 inches and it stands about 1 5/8 inches tall. The condition is terrific. There are no cracks or chips in the wood and only minor rubbing wear. It has not warped and the surface is clean and fresh. If you have an Arts and Crafts bungalow then you must have this box sitting on a coffee table to add a decorative touch. You will not be disappointed!
