This wonderful card box is special for two reasons. First, it is a well executed example of pyrographic art with nice color and design. Second, it contains a deck of standard playing cards with the logo of the 6th Armored Division, a tank unit that served proudly during World War II. The box measures 4 inches by 3 ½ inches by 1 1/4 inches. It is decorated to look like a closed book wishing "Good Luck" and a tray slides out from the inside that contains the playing cards. The overall condition is good. The design, pyrography and paint work is still bright and clean. There are some splits in the wood that were repaired in the past so that the box is now strong and solid. The card tray has tape wrapped around one end that has been used to repair a separation that occurred at that end. The repair is working and the card tray is solid. The playing cards are generally in good used condition and proudly carry the bright and clear logo of the 6th Armored Division. Alas, one of the cards is missing so it is a deck of 51. Still, if you collect pyrography then you will love this piece. If you have a veteran in the family then this will be a special treasured item. Look closely at the photos and you will see just how fine this item is.
