This booklet is titled "Gettysburg, The National Shrine" and is a 1952 reprint of a 1948 booklet that has stiff color pictorial wraps and measures 12 inches by 9 inches. It is published by N. A. Meligakes of Gettysburg and is described as the "PEOPLE'S PICTORIAL EDITION" with over 500 photographs assembled in one volume. It is in excellent condition which is rare for an item that was purchased as a souvenir with the intention of eventually being tossed. There is a staple binding that is still quite strong and well attached. The piece is quite clean both outside and inside with some very minor chipping around the outside edges of the cover. There is a slight fold on the back cover that does not look like it was ever creased. The booklet is 64 pages that are jam-packed full of photos of the battlefield, including monuments and a map, along with some associated text. This is a terrific item in terrific condition. Internet research has been unable to turn up a copy in comparable quality and condition. PLEASE NOTE: Because the booklet is slightly larger than our scanner, part of the covers have been cut off on the left and right.
