Here is a fine set of 4 decorative bridge score pads still in their original box and dating from the early 1920's when auction bridge was so popular. Back then people would set up an elegant table for having a group together for an evening of bridge. They would make sure to have a decorative set of score pads at hand along with any other necessary "essentials." This set of score pads was made by Gibson Company of Cincinnati. Each pad is different, stylized with an elegantly dressed lady done in Art Deco style along with the number 1, 2, or 3, or 4 to be used for designating each table. The pads are in remarkably good condition with only very minor aging . The actual tear-off score pads are all intact. Apparently, this set was never used. The box they come in is also in excellent condition with some minor scuffing and soiling. The graphics on each card make this set well worth having because of their Art Deco motif. If you collect game memorabilia you will love these items and if you are into Art Deco they are the epitome of that style. The box measures 2.875 inches by 4.875 inches and is about 1 inch tall when closed.
