We are offering a classic Navajo (or Dineh) weaving of Two Grey Hills design. It measures 26 inches by 21 inches. It is a tight finely woven tapestry with the warp count at 7 per inch and the weft count is 36 per inch. . The weave is evenly done. The edges are straight and tight, and the tassels in the corners are all intact. It is soft and flexible. It is made with the expected Two Grey Hills colors of black, white, browns, and brown-grays. Be sure to look closely at the level of complexity of the design. The piece is in outstanding condition. It is clean with no spots. It lies flat and smooth. It has most likely been stored over the years with no indication that it has ever been on display. The weaving is very attractive and took many hours to complete. It was done by a master weaver, is clearly a labor of love, and is a fine example of a Navajo weaving or rug. This high quality weaving would be terrific displayed hanging on a wall, or draped over a railing or piece of furniture. It will continue to draw comments of wonder and amazement as people ponder the difficulty of doing such fine work.
