This bracelet was made by Navajo artist Kevin Yazzie using the ancient art of Tufa casting. Tufa is compressed volcanic ash which is found throughout the world. However Kevin uses tufa that is found in the dessert southwest. The tufa rock is carved by hand into the desired design and the mold is filled with molten silver. Once it is cooled the design is removed from the tufa mold and must be sanded and polished into the finished piece of jewelry.
Signature is hard to see with the your eyes, it must be on its side with plenty of light. Of course the pictures are always more vivid than the eye.
